Creating a safe space for reflection, healing, and personal growth.

Hi, I’m Aatman Thaker (he/him)

I’m a therapist and psychologist based in India, and I’m passionate about helping people make sense of their experiences, build resilience, and reconnect with what gives their life meaning.

My journey into psychology began with a deep curiosity about the human mind — how we think, feel, and heal. Over time, that curiosity turned into a calling: to create safe, supportive spaces where people can explore their emotions, discover new perspectives, and work toward healing and growth.

In addition to my private practice, I work as a School Counsellor at The Galaxy School - Wadi, where I support students, parents, and teachers through counselling, guidance, training, and mental health awareness programs. I perform comprehensive psychological assessments—covering cognition, learning, memory, temperament, emotional health, adaptive behaviour, achievement, social skills, mental health concerns, etc.—to develop evidence-based interventions for families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.

I hold a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work. My background in both psychology and social work helps me understand mental health not only from an individual perspective but also in the context of relationships, community, and culture.

In therapy, I follow an integrative approach — drawing from methods such as Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Play and Art-based interventions. I also incorporate trauma-informed and body-oriented practices to support clients in connecting with both their minds and bodies during the healing process.

To provide the best possible support, I’ve completed advanced trainings with leading organisations like International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT), The Gottman Institute, The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Arizona Trauma Institute, and The Crisis and Trauma Resource Institute (CTRI), as well as experts like Linda Thai. Continuous learning helps me stay updated and bring the best evidence-based care to my clients.

I offer therapy for children, adolescents, and adults dealing with concerns such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, trauma, grief, and life transitions. My goal is to meet you where you are — with empathy, respect, and collaboration — and to walk alongside you as you work toward a more balanced, meaningful life.

Outside my professional life, I’m a nature enthusiast and birder — observing the world through a patient, curious lens reminds me that growth often takes time and quiet attention, both in nature and within ourselves.

If my approach resonates with you, I’d be glad to connect.
